Eligibility Requirements
Open to graduate students and postgraduates who received their degrees within the last year. Required skills: ability to work with Mac or PC equipment, advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, awareness of California political processes, ability to manage complex calendars using calendar software (Outlook, Entourage).
Preferred skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, written and graphic reporting skills.

Program Description
SB STRATEGIES is a consulting firm based in southern California. We engage with constituents and other focused population groups on behalf of community organizations, labor groups, and elected officials. Potential interns will gain experience working in local politics, research and writing promotional and press-related materials. In addition, you will learn how to boost participation in civic events including, but not limited to, voter registration, and emergency preparedness.
All internships are part-time (15-20 hours/week) beginning January 31, 2010.
