Project ABC provides comprehensive family centered culturally competent mental health services to young children, ages birth to 5 and their families. The Evaluation Team is charged with assessing the efficacy and impact of this program.
Type of employment: Must have federal work-study eligibility), $10/hour.
Program: Project ABC Evaluation Team.
Job Duties: The RA will assist the project manager with tasks pertaining to data collection, data grooming and data entry. The RA may perform other research related tasks such as running reports, creating surveys, and filing.
Qualifications: Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Time commitment: 10 hours/week.
Location: School of Social Work or City Center & possible travel to partner sites

Current Research Topics Under Investigation:
There are 2 projects (funded by NIH and the US Department of Education) that involve assessing preschoolers’ early literacy skills in the context of an intervention that varies the language of instruction. This is an opportunity to learn about research and to actually help carry out a large scale intervention and research project that has the potential to make a difference in the lives of 4 year old children.
Specific Qualifications for Research Assistants:
Very good Spanish language skills; interest in young children; reliable transportation to preschools in Glendale and nearby in Downtown LA.
Availability before 12 noon.
