Developmental Psychology Research Assistant Needed

I am a graduate student who works with Tom Lyon, PhD, JD, here at USC and
we are looking for students who would like to help us with our research.  Our research largely bridges developmental psychology and the law.  Many of
our studies have implications on children's testimony and include maltreated populations. Our findings have direct utility in the field as well as theoretical importance. Some tasks that you can help with include transcribing videos of children speaking about various experiences (e.g., maltreatment, participation in a study), recruitment (e.g., going to local schools and asking parents if they would like to participate in research) and media editing (e.g., blurring over faces on video). Much of our materials involve sensitive populations and it is required that any applicant is respectful and reliable.

Please email any inquiries to childresearch@law.usc.edu and include on your email the number of hours per week you would like to help and the days/times that you are free. The position is non-paid and can be used as 490 credit if you have the 490 form signed by this Friday.  Nonetheless, there is certainly valuable research experience with our lab included in this opportunity.  Please also call 213-821-5599 with any questions at all.
